Job summary

Strattec Security Corp. seeks an experienced Program Manager to lead cross-functional teams in automotive programs, ensuring on-time delivery and profitable execution. You will own program coordination, work with customers, and drive continuous improvement using APQP-based processes.

You will collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and quality to deliver robust program plans, manage risk, and uphold standards like IATF16949 and ISO14001 during peak launch periods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in business, engineering, or product/design development.
• 6+ years in automotive or relevant program management/coordination experience.
• Automotive OEM experience desirable (Ford and GM).
• Knowledge of APQP-based, gated project management systems.
• Strong business and financial acumen for profitable product lines.
• Customer orientation as a trusted partner; accountability for commitments.
• Manufacturing/assembly plant processes and equipment knowledge.
• Root-cause analysis and continuous improvement mindset.
• Travel up to 25% during launch period.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and communicate with Strattec functional groups to deliver program execution excellence.
• Manage programs using APQP-based PDP and facilitate program reviews.
• Ambassador for the company, interfacing with customers and delivering program services.
• Develop robust program statements of work and business plans.
• Drive schedules, profitability, and quality metrics; achieve launch targets.
• Lead internal and customer communication and ensure deliverables meet expectations.
• Track information across systems and escalate issues promptly.
• Support maintaining IATF16949:2016 and ISO14001:2015 certifications.
