Job summary

AUTOKINITON is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead automotive program execution from award through production. You will partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Commercial teams to deliver on schedule and budget while ensuring effective customer communication.

The role requires a strong background in automotive programs, GAAP-like budgeting, and proficiency with APQP/PPAP processes. Travel to facilities is expected as projects progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Minimum five years in automotive manufacturing (stamping, metal forming, assemblies, tooling or processes).
• Minimum three years in program/project/launch management in automotive manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage program requirements, deliverables, and timelines to ensure successful execution and objectives.
• Monitor milestones; communicate timing risks, issues, and recovery plans to stakeholders and customers.
• Serve as primary point of contact for customers on status, deliverables, and issue resolution.
• Support successful launches by ensuring ALP compliance and meeting customer requirements and timing.
• Coordinate resolution of open program issues with timely responses and follow-up actions.
• Facilitate ALP Gate Reviews and provide updates to leadership.
• Identify opportunities for cost-saving while maintaining quality and timing.
• Lead program review meetings to track timing, BOM, engineering changes and critical-path activities.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Commercial teams.
• Monitor program budgeting, tooling expenditures, and milestone achievements.
• Maintain documentation/status reporting in ALP, Campfire and other systems.
• Document lessons learned to improve future program execution.
• Coordinate engineering change activities to meet customer requirements on schedule and budget.
• Track and drive APQP deliverables, PPAP submissions, and tooling payment milestones.
