Job summary

Actian Corporation seeks a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Sales Engineer with deep expertise in Vector AI databases. You will partner with the Sales team to architect and demonstrate Actian's vector-first capabilities, guide PoCs at enterprise scale, and mentor global Sales Engineers in vector database solutions.

You will map AI/ML initiatives to Actian's capabilities, engage C-level and technical audiences, and drive complex deals with a trusted advisory approach across regions and time zones.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a pre-sales or post-sales technical role.
• Strong ability to present to technical and executive audiences.
• Proven track record selling data/analytics software to enterprises.
• Hands-on experience with Milvus and/or Qdrant vector databases is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Sales team to identify and close new opportunities.
• Provide strategic pre-sales support including needs analysis and scoping.
• Create and deliver product presentations and demos for prospects and customers.
• Lead PoC projects in enterprise environments.
• Maintain deep understanding of competitive technologies and differentiators.
