Job summary

Actian Corporation is seeking an AI-First Software Engineer to design and implement features across the Actian Data Intelligence Platform. You will use AI coding assistants to accelerate delivery while maintaining strong architectural integrity.

You will collaborate with product managers, participate in design reviews, and contribute to production troubleshooting with a security-first mindset. Flexible remote or hybrid work arrangements are offered, with a focus on high-impact, end-to-end

Qualifications

• Proven experience using AI coding assistants in production.
• Experience building features for data governance, data catalogs, or metadata platforms is a plus.
• Fullstack engineering experience with ownership of SaaS features from end-to-end.
• Strong backend and frontend knowledge (Scala/Java on backend, TypeScript/Angular on frontend).
• Knowledge of AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement features across the Actian Data Intelligence Platform, from backend services to frontend interfaces.
• Leverage AI tools as a multiplier to accelerate development and improve test coverage.
• Contribute to technical design reviews with a security-first mindset and clean architecture.
• Participate in incident response and production troubleshooting to maintain stability.
• Share knowledge through technical sessions and documentation; promote AI-assisted best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate requirements into well-scoped technical solutions.
