Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Administrator to monitor and troubleshoot the VDI infrastructure for our SOUTHCOM customer. This onsite role is located in Key West, FL.

You will design and implement the VDI, configure and manage virtual machines and desktop templates, monitor performance, resolve complex issues, back up data, and ensure security and disaster‑recovery readiness. Requirements include 5+ years in VDI, proficiency with VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and

Qualifications

5+ years in a VDI administration role
Proficiency with listed VDI technologies (VMware Horizon, Citrix, RDS)
Strong virtualization concepts and hypervisor knowledge
Security and network basics for VDI environments

Responsibilities

Design and implement the VDI infrastructure and desktop templates
Monitor VDI performance and troubleshoot complex issues
Backups and disaster recovery planning for VDI
Apply security controls and patch management for VDI environment
Plan capacity and resource allocation for VDI hosts
