QBE, LLC is seeking a highly experienced Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Administrator to join our team onsite in Key West, FL. You will design and manage the VDI infrastructure, monitor performance, and resolve complex issues to ensure reliable user access.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in VDI, strong virtualization skills (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V), and proficiency with Horizon, Citrix, or RDS. Active security awareness and disaster recovery planning are required.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience in a VDI administration role.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field; 4 years of experience may substitute for degree.
Proficiency with VDI technologies such as VMware Horizon, Citrix VAD, or RDS.
Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and hypervisor technologies (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V).
Expert-level troubleshooting skills for complex VDI issues.
Familiarity with network, storage, and security principles for VDI environments.

Responsibilities

Designing and implementing the VDI infrastructure and templates.
Monitor the VDI environment for performance and user connectivity; troubleshoot issues.
Install, configure, and maintain hypervisor software.
Manage server hardware, resources, and VDI host pools.
Architect and plan desktop virtualization; ensure health and availability.
Back up VDI components and implement disaster recovery procedures.
Identify bottlenecks and tune performance; enforce robust security.
Plan and execute VDI updates and software patches.
