Job summary

Strategic Growth Partners in Key West, FL seeks a seasoned Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Administrator to design, implement, and manage the VDI environment for USSOUTHCOM. The role requires active Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI and a bachelor’s degree in CS/IT.

Responsibilities include configuring VMware Horizon, Citrix, or RDS, monitoring performance, backups, disaster recovery, and ongoing security hardening.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field; four years of experience may substitute for the degree.
• Five or more years hands-on VDI administration.
• Proficiency in VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, or Microsoft RDS.
• Strong virtualization and hypervisor knowledge (VMware vSphere or Hyper-V).
• Excellent troubleshooting and security awareness.
• Ability to plan backups and disaster recovery for VDI components.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the VDI infrastructure and templates.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot VDI desktop connectivity.
• Install and maintain hypervisor software and host resources.
• Plan DR, backups, and disaster recovery for VDI components.
• Apply updates and enforce security measures for VDI.
