Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Philadelphia seeks an experienced BIM/VDC Leader to oversee daily BIM processes and align them with project schedules across diverse scopes. You will guide the VDC team, share best practices, and ensure project adherence to Turner Digital Build standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating BIM tools, reviewing constructability, mentoring staff, and communicating changes affecting schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in VDC or related field with 6+ years of experience.
• CM-BIM continuing education credits preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract docs, drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Thorough knowledge of VDC tools, applications, and coordination principles.
• Knowledge of industry standards, codes related to VDC.
• Strong verbal and written communication; capable of cross-functional dialogue.
• Advanced presentation delivery skills for technical audiences.
• Conflict management and relationship-building capabilities.
• Ability to develop solutions and anticipate risks and opportunities.
• Project management expertise with budgeting ability.
• Proficiency in BIM tools: Navisworks, Revit, ACC, AutoCAD, and Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee BIM field operations and engineering processes for multiple projects.
• Advise on VDC objectives and align with Turner Digital Build standards.
• Plan BIM tools and processes with VDC leadership for specific jobs.
• Develop and refine BIM implementation plans in line with contracts.
• Provide QC of quantity variance reports for estimating and changes.
• Mentor and lead VDC project teams through planning and launch activities.
• Contribute to constructability reviews using trade knowledge.
• Communicate BIM changes and impacts to scheduling team.
• Track VDC change orders and report progress to management.
• Support EH&S Life Safety integration on projects.
