Job summary

Emerald Resource Group is partnering with a Cleveland-based MSP to find an experienced IT leader who thrives on working directly with clients, solving business problems, and helping organizations make smarter technology decisions. This is a role focused on technology strategy, client relationships, and leadership rather than day-to-day technical support.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted vCIO to 15–20 small and midsize business clients, develop IT strategies, lead QBRs, and advise

Qualifications

10+ years of IT experience, including leadership or consulting experience within an MSP.
Strong client-facing communication and relationship-building skills.
Broad technical knowledge across infrastructure, cloud, networking, and cybersecurity.
Experience managing multiple client relationships and competing priorities.
Experience with ConnectWise is a plus.

Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted hands on technology advisor (vCIO) to 15–20 small and midsize business clients.
Develop IT strategies, technology roadmaps, and budgets.
Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with business owners and leadership teams.
Advise clients on Microsoft 365, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, networking, and infrastructure.
Partner with internal technical teams to deliver solutions and improve client operations.
Help clients make smart technology investments that support their business goals.
