Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Value Engineering Manager to own cost and value engineering for large-scale construction, shaping AI-powered cost intelligence and influencing senior leadership decisions.

You will drive independent bottom-up estimates, develop scalable estimating strategies, and lead should-cost and value analyses across North America projects, from retrofit to new-build, ensuring cost control and design intent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience as an Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, Development Manager, Owner's PM, or related disciplines.
• Experience developing bottom-up cost models, should-cost models, benchmarks, and analytical frameworks for complex construction decisions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver independent, bottom-up construction cost estimates for North America stakeholders across retrofit, expansion, and new-build projects.
• Develop estimates from early concepts through RFP-ready docs, choosing methodologies based on maturity.
• Own estimating strategies for multi-site programs with scalable templates and detailed site-specific estimates.
• Generate ROM estimates to support planning, business cases, investments, and funding approvals.
• Lead should-cost modeling, benchmarking, and value engineering while preserving design intent and operations.
