Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Value Engineering Manager to own cost and value engineering for large-scale construction projects. You’ll influence multi-million-dollar supplier negotiations, present to senior leadership, and help build AI-powered cost intelligence tools for global procurement.

You will decompose cost structures, benchmark, and develop bottom-up estimates across retrofit, expansion, and new-build projects while ensuring design intent and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience developing bottom-up cost models, should-cost models, cost benchmarks, cost driver analysis, and analytical frameworks to support complex construction or capital investment decisions.
• Experience operating within multiple construction disciplines and managing cost data and estimation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Deliver independent, bottom-up construction cost estimates for North America stakeholders across retrofit, expansion, and new-build projects.
• Develop cost estimates from early-stage concepts through RFP-ready construction documents with appropriate methodologies.
• Own estimating strategies for repeatable multi-site programs with scalable templates.
• Lead should-cost modeling, benchmarking, and value engineering analyses to optimize cost while preserving design intent.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to improve estimating efficiency and validate outputs with engineering judgment.
