Job summary

Amazon seeks a Cost & Value Engineering Manager to partner with North America Design & Construction teams, delivering cost engineering and value analyses to optimize designs and inform capital investments across Amazon's infrastructure network.

You will develop bottom-up cost estimates for diverse projects, build scalable cost models, and apply AI-enabled tools to accelerate analysis, balancing cost, quality, and operational requirements across our global portfolio.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of program or project management experience.
• 3+ years of cross-functional collaboration with tech and non-tech teams.
• 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and SQL.
• Experience defining program requirements using data to drive improvements.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Experience in cost engineering, value engineering, or related cost/engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver independent bottom-up cost estimates for construction, equipment, and capital projects across Amazon's portfolio.
• Develop cost estimates from early-stage concepts through supplier selection and implementation.
• Build and maintain scalable estimating models and templates for complex site-specific initiatives.
• Perform should-cost modeling, benchmarking, and Value Engineering analyses to evaluate design options and cost drivers.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to automate data gathering, cost modeling, benchmarking, and pattern recognition.
• Drive scalable AI-enabled cost intelligence solutions by curating project and market data and validating model performance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Construction, Procurement, and Category teams to validate assumptions and influence decisions.
• Peer review cost models, estimates, and Value Engineering recommendations for technical rigor.
