Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Cost & Value Engineering Manager to partner with North America Design & Construction stakeholders, delivering construction cost engineering and value engineering services across infrastructure projects.

You will develop bottom-up cost estimates, should-cost models, and Value Engineering analyses for a diverse portfolio including MHE, automation, retrofit, and new-build initiatives, influencing sourcing and capital decisions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of program or project management experience.
• 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience.
• 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
• Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL.
• Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or an equivalent engineering science.

Responsibilities

• Deliver independent, bottom-up cost estimates for construction, equipment, and capital investment projects across Amazon’s global portfolio.
• Develop cost estimates from early-stage concepts through supplier selection and implementation.
• Build and maintain scalable estimating models and templates for complex initiatives.
• Perform should-cost modeling, benchmarking, and Value Engineering analyses.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to automate data gathering, cost modeling, benchmarking, and pattern recognition.
• Drive the development of scalable AI-enabled cost intelligence solutions across projects.
