Job summary

World Business Lenders is seeking a senior appraisal professional to review and value commercial collateral across U.S. markets in a fully remote role.

You will assess appraisals, BPOs, and CMA reports, ensuring accuracy, USPAP compliance, and defendable conclusions for loan decisions. You will analyze income properties, budgets, and cash flows, compare budgets and as‑completed values, and present concise findings with clear recommendations to Investment, Asset Resolution, and Initial Credit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, economics, business or related field.
• 5+ years in commercial appraisal, collateral valuation, underwriting, or asset management.
• Knowledge of USPAP and the sales comparison, income, and cost approaches.
• Experience with distressed, foreclosed, or REO property.
• Strong Excel, writing, and presentation skills; ability to challenge unsupported conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Review appraisals, BPOs, CMA for accuracy and USPAP compliance.
• Test value conclusions against independent market evidence in US markets.
• Flag weak comparables, adjustments, stale data, errors, and unsupported assumptions.
• Analyze income property: rent rolls, operating expenses, NOI, cap rates, and DCF.
• On construction loans, compare budgets, draws, and completion status against as‑complete value conclusions.
• Recommend a value for each relevant premise and present findings to Investment, Asset Resolution, and Initial Credit Review.
• Recommend added work when information is insufficient: new appraisal, inspection, environmental, or engineering report.
