Job summary

PsiQuantum is seeking a Senior Validation Engineer to develop and implement validation methods for electro-optical subsystems, drive measurements in manufacturing, debug issues, and supervise large production builds.

You will work with optics, electronics, firmware, and software teams to design experiments, validate performance, and optimize yields while ensuring milestones are met across a growing program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or physical science with 8+ years in validating and testing optical/electro-optical systems.
• Experience with optical/electrical test equipment like OSA, Oscilloscopes, AWG, VNA.
• Experience in developing test methods and calibration algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Review electro-optical design from PCBA to multi-part assemblies with optics, electronics, firmware, software, and thermal design.
• Identify key measurement parameters with Design team and define validation approaches.
• Write full validation plans and estimate duration for large quantity production.
• Design experiments using lab setups and data collection tools; develop scripts for data analysis.
• Lead validation efforts, produce reports, and identify root causes for improvements.
• Collaborate with operations to review build data and yield indicators.
