Job summary

Gatik is seeking a Head of Systems and Safety Engineering to lead the safety architecture, risk management, and system safety lifecycle for its autonomous vehicle platform. The role requires coordinating across customers, OEMs, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure robust safety governance and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Requires safety engineering in safety‑critical domains (AV, automotive, or aerospace).
• Experience leading safety programs and interfacing with customers/external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with ISO 26262, ISO 21448 (SOTIF), and UL 4600 is preferred.
• Strong risk management skills: HARA, FMEA, FTA, STPA.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety architecture and risk management across AV platform.
• Oversee safety program governance, incident response, and gate criteria.
• Define safety requirements and fail-operational strategies across hardware/software.
• Lead with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to align safety interfaces and DIAs.
• Serve as primary safety liaison with customers and partners.
