Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Supervisor to oversee field operations across multiple locations, including Albuquerque, NM. The role ensures compliance with DoD requirements and leads UXO teams to perform remediation and clearance safely and effectively.

Qualifications

• Meet UXO Technician III, UXO Quality Control Specialist, UXO Safety Officer qualifications as defined in DoD papers.
• Minimum 9 years of EOD/UXO experience including munitions response actions.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory field operations experience.
• Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification with annual refreshers.
• Current 8-Hour HAZWOPER Supervisor Training certification.
• Experience managing an Explosive Safety Program.
• Strong knowledge of MEC/UXO and PPE requirements.
• Willingness to travel and work in remote field environments.
• US citizenship is required by client.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations and lead UXO teams to conduct remediation and clearance.
• Ensure compliance with DoD requirements and approved site plans (DDESB).
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site munitions response activities and range clearance.
• Review daily field reports and project documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Assess risks in movement of UXO/DMM within MRS or ranges and approve movements when safe.
• Ensure PPE, protective works, and exclusion zones meet safety standards.
• Promote safety culture and compliance with site health and safety plans.
• Support project managers and clients through planning and scheduling.
