Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Supervisor to oversee field operations and ensure DoD compliance across munitions response and range clearance efforts. You will lead multiple UXO teams, provide technical guidance, and maintain high safety and quality standards in challenging field environments.

Qualifications

• Meet the UXO-TIII, UXOQCS and UXOSO qualifications per DoD TP-18.
• Minimum 9 years EOD/UXO field experience.
• Minimum 5 years supervising UXO or related field operations.
• Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER with annual refreshers.
• Current 8-Hour HAZWOPER Supervisor Training.
• Experience managing an Explosive Safety Program.
• Strong MEC/UXO knowledge.
• Experience enforcing PPE and safety procedures.
• Willingness to travel to field sites.
• US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with DoD Military Service and DDESB-approved site plans.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site munitions response activities and range clearance projects.
• Lead and supervise multiple UXO field teams, providing technical guidance and operational oversight.
• Review and evaluate daily field reports and project documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Assess risks related to movement of UXO/DMM within MRS or ranges and approve movement when safe.
• Ensure PPE, protective works, and exclusion zones meet DoD and safety regs.
• Promote a strong safety culture and maintain site health and safety plans.
• Support project managers and clients through effective communication and planning.
