Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Supervisor to oversee field operations across DoD-mandated sites, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality in munitions response and range clearance projects.

You will lead multiple UXO teams, review daily reports, assess risk for UXO/DMM movements, and provide technical guidance while maintaining rigorous health and safety standards on challenging field assignments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years of EOD/UXO experience including munitions response actions or range clearance.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience overseeing UXO or related field operations.
• Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification with annual refreshers.
• Current 8-hour HAZWOPER Supervisor Training certification.
• Experience managing an Explosive Safety Program.
• US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with DoD Military Service and DDESB-approved site plans.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site munitions response and range clearance projects.
• Lead multiple UXO field teams with technical guidance and oversight.
• Review daily field reports and project documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Assess risks for movement of UXO/DMM in MRS or ranges and approve movement when safe.
• Ensure PPE, protective works, and exclusion zones meet DoD and safety regulations.
• Promote a strong safety culture and uphold site health and safety plans.
• Support project managers with effective communication and scheduling.
