Job summary

EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) seeks a Senior User Experience Researcher to advance usability, accessibility, and scholarly effectiveness of our research platforms. This remote US-based role focuses on understanding how students, faculty, librarians, and researchers engage with academic content and discovery systems.

You will design and lead studies that inform product strategy, drive evidence-based improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UX research experience in UX research, human-computer interaction, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Experience translating ambiguous problem spaces into clear research direction.
• Experience working in cross-functional product teams.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
• A diverse portfolio that demonstrates impact across complex problem spaces.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end research including planning, designing, and conducting qualitative and quantitative studies across the product lifecycle.
• Translate research findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
• Partner with UX designers, product managers, and stakeholders to influence product direction and strategy.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles and research best practices across teams.
• Conduct usability testing, interviews, surveys, and field studies.
• Synthesize findings into clear, structured deliverables such as research reports, personas, journey maps, and frameworks.
• Advocate for accessibility, inclusivity, and equitable access to information in all research efforts.
