Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks a Senior UI/UX Designer to lead user research, wireframing, and high-fidelity UI work for government-facing web and mobile applications. You will coordinate with federal engineers and clients to craft intuitive interfaces across multiple sites and programs.

The role emphasizes research-driven design, accessibility (508/USWDS), and mentoring junior designers within a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.
• Strong UX design experience with 10+ years of combined professional design experience (UCD, UI/UX).
• Portfolio showcases research-driven decisions for responsive web and mobile designs.
• Experience with 508 and USWDS accessibility standards.
• Experience mentoring/leading junior designers.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-scale UX design efforts from research through evaluation of systems.
• Plan, design, and implement multiple sites and applications across clients in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead all phases of user research to inform usable web pages and interfaces.
• Collaborate with federal practice engineers and federal clients to define and implement innovative solutions.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Create scalable design resources to aid project collaboration and service expansion.
