Job summary

CGS is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to join our information technology team supporting a large Federal agency. You will lead full-scale UX design, user research, and interaction design across multiple sites and applications for federal clients.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, a strong portfolio, and expertise in 508 and USWDS standards, with ability to mentor junior designers and collaborate with engineers and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.
• Strong UX design experience.
• 10+ years combined professional design experience (UCD, UI/UX design).
• Strong online portfolio showcasing research-driven decisions in responsive web/mobile design.
• Experience with 508 and USWDS standards.
• Self-starter able to work independently and in a team.
• Experience mentoring junior designers.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-scale UX design from research to delivery across multiple sites/apps.
• Plan, design, and implement projects for multiple clients in fast-paced settings.
• Lead user research to inform usable web/mobile interfaces.
• Collaborate with engineers and clients to define innovative solutions.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, site maps communicating interaction ideas.
• Develop scalable design resources to support collaboration.
