Job summary

CGS is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to support a broad Federal agency initiative, leading UX efforts across multiple sites and clients. You will conduct research, create wireframes, and collaborate with engineers to deliver accessible, intuitive interfaces for government users.

The role emphasizes mentorship, portfolio quality, and the ability to manage end-to-end design processes in a fast-paced government-contracting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.
• 10+ years combined professional design experience (UCD, UI/UX design).
• Strong portfolio showcasing research-driven decisions for responsive web and mobile apps.
• Experience with user research methodologies and user-centered design principles.
• Advanced understanding of personas, flows, affinity mapping, and other research tools.
• Experience with 508 and USWDS standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-scale UX design efforts including research, blueprinting, and evaluating existing systems.
• Plan, design, and implement multiple sites/apps across clients in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead all phases of user research and analysis for usable web pages and interfaces.
• Collaborate with federal engineers and clients to implement innovative, intuitive solutions.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, and site maps to communicate ideas effectively.
• Develop scalable design resources to aid project collaboration and expand services.
