RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Senior Manager for Utility Scale Development in Austin, TX. You will lead the development of utility-scale solar, wind and energy storage projects, coordinating internal and external teams to advance projects through financing, permitting, interconnection, and construction.

The role requires 7+ years in renewable energy development, strong leadership, and the ability to travel up to 50%. It’s a full-time, permanent position within the Project Development function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of experience in renewable energy infrastructure development.
• 3+ years supporting utility-scale development preferred.
• Proven project management skills.
• Expert knowledge of regional markets, permitting frameworks, and commercial structuring.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Develop a portfolio of utility-scale Solar, Wind, and Energy Storage projects.
• Lead cross-functional project teams and guide financing prep.
• Manage full project lifecycle: due diligence, land control, permitting, interconnection.
• Oversee cost estimating and EPC bidding to firm up CAPEX.
• Optimize engineering design and support construction to COD.
• Mentor junior development staff across projects.
• Shape regional strategies and market-entry recommendations.
