RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Senior Utility Scale Development Associate to initiate, develop, and acquire utility-scale Solar, Wind and Energy Storage projects in the US and Canada. The role focuses on ERCOT, SPP, and MISO markets, coordinating with commercial and technical teams to align with North American strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM, business/economics, or relevant fields. Advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in project development or related power-sector areas.
• Structured and organized, able to manage multiple projects.
• Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, attention to detail, and work ethic.
• Proven track record of managing complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of energy markets, interconnection, permitting, and development processes.

Responsibilities

• Support greenfield development of utility-scale Solar, Wind and Energy Storage projects, including site due diligence, land control, permitting, interconnection and tax equity financing.
• Assist more experienced developers on project workstreams as needed.
• Identify financially attractive project locations with cross-functional teams.
• Help create and maintain project budgets and schedules.
• Support due diligence of acquisitions with M&A team.
• Assist in preparation of management presentations and internal approvals.
