RWE Americas seeks a Senior Manager, Utility Scale Development in Illinois to spearhead utility-scale solar, wind, and storage projects across the US and Canada. The role emphasizes leading cross-functional teams, end-to-end project lifecycles, and collaboration with land, permitting, interconnection, and tax equity finance teams.

This office-based role requires leadership, strong project management, and willingness to travel up to 50% to support project execution and regional strategy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business/economics, environmental science, or relevant fields.

Responsibilities

• Develop a portfolio of utility-scale Solar, Wind and Energy Storage projects from greenfield to construction start.
• Serve as project lead, managing large cross-functional project teams.
• Manage the full project lifecycle with land control, permitting, interconnection, engineering, energy yield, tax equity financing, and related activities.
• Oversee cost estimating and EPC bidding to firm up CAPEX in collaboration with Precon and Procurement teams.
• Provide support during construction to ensure successful COD.
• Mentor junior Development Managers / Associates leading individual projects.
• Drive project competitiveness through technical, commercial and financial levers.
