Job summary

American Regent, Inc. in Ohio is seeking a Sr. Utility Engineer to operate, maintain, and improve process/plant utilities across multiple facilities.

This hands-on role requires SME ownership of utilities (steam, WFI, purified water, RO/EDI, HVAC, compressed air, etc.) and leadership in capital projects within a FDA-regulated environment. The ideal candidate will lead cross-location projects, coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance, and ensure adherence to cGMP, OSHA, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent years of related experience.
• 7+ years of manufacturing facility engineering experience.
• 4+ years with Clean Utility systems and equipment (filters, ion exchange, RO, clean steam, etc.).
• Experience with plant utility systems and equipment (vacuum pumps, compressors, chillers, boilers).
• HVAC systems experience; ability to size and specify utility equipment.
• Understanding of mechanical layouts and electrical/pneumatic schematics (P&ID).
• Knowledge of OSHA, cGMP, GDP, FDA requirements as they apply to processing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including MS Project, Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop scope, budget, URS and manage all project phases to completion.
• Coordinate process utility support activities (equipment reconfiguration, changeover, replacements).
• Support factory acceptance testing and review specifications/submittals.
• Develop and maintain drawings of equipment, systems, and processes.
• Coordinate handover from Engineering to Maintenance and Operations; establish maintenance programs.
• Support qualification activities including protocol generation and execution.
• Position at multiple locations in central Ohio for duties.
