Bayer seeks an experienced Utility Engineering Lead to own design, commissioning, and qualification for the Central Utilities Building, wastewater treatment, and incinerator at a Columbus campus. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate suppliers, and ensure safe, compliant startup and handover.

The role requires 10+ years in utility/industrial engineering with strong leadership, GMP utility qualification, and process-safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Typically 10+ years of utility, industrial-treatment, or regulated-manufacturing engineering experience.
• Proven leadership of engineering, commissioning, and start-up for major utility or environmental-infrastructure projects.
• Broad experience across central utilities and treatment systems with ability to lead specialists.
• Strong understanding of equipment integration, utility reliability, process safety, and GMP utility qualification.
• Proven multidisciplinary leadership, supplier management, troubleshooting, cost management, and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Own the integrated design basis for utility systems, including demand, capacity, and interfaces.
• Lead engineering, commissioning, qualification, and start-up activities for CUB and wastewater/incinerator scopes.
• Direct budgeting, resources, and multi-discipline interfaces; coordinate with internal and external partners.
• Develop FAT/SAT strategies, test plans, and acceptance criteria for equipment delivery and handover.
• Coordinate safety, quality, environmental, and validation requirements throughout project phases.
