Job summary

Pfizer Groton, CT is seeking a highly experienced Utilities Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership for 24/7 plant reliability and maintenance of critical utility systems.

You will collaborate with site leadership to improve performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive lifecycle management of major infrastructure. A strong background in cogeneration, steam, HVAC, and CMMS is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in utilities/central plant operations serving critical environments.
• Experience in engineering and maintenance of mechanical systems and infrastructure.
• Technical leadership or team support roles.
• Strong knowledge of steam and thermal systems, cogeneration, and utility distribution.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership for utilities-related capital projects.
• Develop scopes, technical requirements, and commissioning plans.
• Oversee expense projects from concept through commissioning and turnover.
• Ensure alignment with site energy strategy, sustainability, and capacity planning.
• Support audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions.
