Amentum is seeking an experienced Utilities Maintenance Technician to support a premier pharmaceutical R&D facility in Groton, CT. You will ensure reliable operation of the central power plant and utility systems, delivering advanced diagnostics and proactive maintenance in a highly regulated cGMP environment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting boilers, chillers, pumps, heat exchangers, and associated systems, while adhering to safety and quality standards and supporting continuous

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field is a plus.
• Minimum 5–7 years in central utility plants or pharma/biotech utility operations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex industrial mechanical systems.
• Perform predictive maintenance using vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, and oil analysis.
• Maintain CMMS records with detailed findings, parts, labor, and corrective actions.
• Support cooling towers, boilers, feedwater systems, pumps, valves, and related equipment.
• Respond to emergencies to minimize downtime and support manufacturing operations.
