Job summary

Merck’s Wilson Site seeks a Facilities/Utilities Engineer to lead mechanical system improvements and capital projects. The role provides expert technical support to Plant Engineering and collaborates with Operations, Automation, and Quality to improve uptime and process consistency.

The position requires 5+ years in facility/utility work, BS in engineering, and strong problem solving, plus knowledge of cGMPs and regulatory expectations. A competitive package is offered.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or related field with strong, relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of facility/utility experience.
• Familiarity with cGMP and regulatory requirements.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Technical writing and deviation investigation skills.
• Utility, HVAC, and refrigerant system optimization experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant engineering improvement projects and productivity initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and coordinate with site partners.
• Manage capital projects and equipment replacements/upgrades.
• Investigate deviations and interface with Operations, Automation, and Quality.
• Develop training material and SME guidance for maintenance staff.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements.
