Job summary

Pfizer in Groton, CT seeks an Electrical Engineer Manager - Utilities Operations Lead to provide technical leadership for site electrical generation, distribution, and control systems within a highly technical laboratory and manufacturing campus.

You will optimize cogeneration-based energy, drive reliability, and collaborate with Utilities Operations, Maintenance, Digital/Automation, and Site Leadership to advance energy strategies and modernization across the GWE framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical generation and distribution, cogeneration/CHP, and energy plant operations.
• Experience with automation and control systems (DCS, BMS, PLCs) in industrial/regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for site electrical infrastructure and 24x7 operations.
• Oversee cogeneration systems, energy balancing, and grid interconnection.
• Lead energy demand management and peak load strategies.
• Oversee automation integration with plant controls and digital systems.
• Drive asset lifecycle, maintenance strategies, and RBM programs.
