Job summary

i‑Pharm Consulting is seeking a Utilities Engineer to support reliability and performance of critical plant utility systems in a manufacturing environment near Philadelphia, PA. You will partner with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and contractors to drive system reliability and support capital projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in an engineering field and 3+ years in utilities/facilities engineering, with experience in steam, chilled water, HVAC, and related systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 3+ years in utilities or facilities engineering.
• Experience with industrial utility systems (steam, chilled water, HVAC, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for critical utility systems (steam, condensate, chilled water, cooling water, compressed air, nitrogen, purified water, wastewater, HVAC).
• Monitor system performance and identify reliability and efficiency improvements.
• Investigate failures and implement corrective/preventive actions to minimize downtime.
• Support capital and operational projects through reviews, installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Review and maintain utility system documentation and equipment data.
• Coordinate with maintenance and operations to prioritize work and manage outages.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
