Job summary

The City of Turlock is seeking a Sr. Utilities Maintenance Worker to perform advanced journey level work in the construction, maintenance and repair of the city's sanitary sewer, storm collection system, and water distribution system.

Under general supervision, you will supervise crews, prepare cost estimates, coordinate preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role requires leadership, technical proficiency, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

Advanced journey level knowledge of sewer, storm, and water distribution systems.
Ability to supervise and train personnel.
Experience with maintaining water quality and adjusting treatment processes.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and supervise sewer, storm, and water system construction and maintenance.
Inspect and review work of subordinates and provide training.
Prepare cost estimates for new service installations and main line extensions.
Requisition and purchase of materials; maintain inventory and reports.
Respond to public complaints and service requests; ensure safety protocols.
