Job summary

City of SBCity is seeking a Sewer Maintenance Worker to join the Public Services Street Division. You will monitor and maintain the city’s sewer lines, storm drains and flood control systems, operating a range of equipment and tools to perform maintenance tasks.

The role is at journey-level in the sewer unit, with advancement pathways to lead roles and emphasis on safety guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED.
• Two years of progressively responsible general public works maintenance experience with six months in sewer and storm drain inspection and maintenance.
• Equivalent training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the City’s sewer lines, storm drains and flood control systems.
• Operate and maintain a variety of motorized equipment and power/hand tools as assigned.
