Job summary

The City of Turlock is seeking an Utilities Maintenance Worker, Sr. to perform advanced journey level work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of the City's sewer, storm collection, and water distribution systems.

Under supervision, you will supervise crews, train staff, and prepare cost estimates for new facilities. Qualifications include three years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or GED with required certifications, and knowledge of backflow, water treatment, and safety

Qualifications

Three years of experience as a Utilities Maintenance Worker II with the City of Turlock.
High School diploma or GED with nine college units, and related certifications as listed.
Possession of required water and sewer certifications as described in the qualifications.

Responsibilities

Plan, supervise activities for water, sewer, and storm systems construction, repair, and maintenance.
Inspect and review the work of subordinates.
Respond to public complaints and requests for service; coordinate with Utilities Supervisor.
Prepare cost estimates for new service installations and main line extensions.
Maintain inventory records and coordinate materials purchases.
Oversee maintenance programs and safety procedures; monitor water quality adjustments.
