Job summary

Akkar finds, moves and manages specialist talent for companies building physical technology: robotics and humanoids, physical AI and autonomy, defense, space, aviation, eVTOL, automotive and motorsport. We’re scaling our US business, and this hire helps set its standard.

You own a US desk end to end, win the clients, run the searches and close the hires. You’ll be one of the most senior billers in North Carolina, and the consultants around you will measure themselves against you.

Qualifications

• Experience placing engineers or technical leaders in hardware, deep tech, defense or related market.
• Able to build and activate a professional network quickly.
• Strong commercial sense about which roles to pursue or drop.

Responsibilities

• Build and own a US market in a frontier tech niche, from first meeting to signed offer.
• Win new accounts with founders, CTOs and engineering leaders at scaling hardware companies.
• Deliver contingent, retained and contract searches for scarce engineering and leadership talent.
• Use proprietary AI tooling and market intelligence to move faster than competitors.
• Coach consultants and help shape growth in North America.
