Job summary

Orchid Insurance is seeking an Underwriting Supervisor to join our team in Tampa, FL. The role oversees underwriting activities for new and renewal business, integrates inspection findings, and ensures adherence to carrier guidelines while guiding a team through complex cases.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of California homeowners underwriting experience with wildfire risk expertise.
• Licensing: Florida 2-20 General Lines Agent license or equivalent.
• Proficient in all underwriting aspects including new business, renewals, and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Underwriting Manager to meet production, retention, and profitability goals.
• Develop and maintain underwriting service standards.
• Ensure activities adhere to carrier guidelines and best practices.
• Lead an Underwriting team in service, quality, and production.
• Assist with UAT to validate system improvements and business needs.
