Job summary

Old Republic Commercial Risk in Florida seeks a Referral Underwriter to develop and oversee PMA lines of coverage, including WC, GL, Commercial Auto, Property and Umbrella. The role collaborates on risk selection, pricing, and underwriting authority guidelines, handling referrals that exceed Regional Manager authority.

You will drive pricing strategy, coordinate with the Product Development and QA teams, and lead the reinsurance process while traveling to client and agency meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 7–10 years of multi-line underwriting with large accounts.
• Knowledge of casualty coverage and loss-sensitive deal structures.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel for business.
• CPCU or risk management designation desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee PMA coverage lines: WC, GL, Auto, Property, Umbrella.
• Make underwriting decisions for accounts beyond Regional Manager authority.
• Coordinate facultative reinsurance processes and documentation.
• Provide QA support and drive corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with Product Development on underwriting protocols.
