Job summary

PMA Companies is seeking a Senior Referral Underwriter to drive risk selection and pricing for multi-line coverage including WC, GL, Auto, Property and Umbrella. You will oversee referrals outside regional authority and coordinate with Product Development to refine underwriting guidelines.

The role requires 7–10 years of multi-line underwriting, strong analytical and negotiating skills, and willingness to travel. CPCU/FRM designations desired.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of multi-line underwriting experience with large accounts.
• Knowledge of casualty coverage and loss-sensitive deal structures.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to travel for business purposes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee pricing, risk selection and underwriting guidelines.
• Handle referrals outside Regional Underwriting Manager authority.
• Coordinate facultative reinsurance placements and document procedures.
• Monitor renewal activity and diary renewal plans.
• Collaborate with Product Development on underwriting protocols.
