Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; 7+ years in senior underwriting in commercial insurance.
• 2 years underwriting management experience desired; or 5+ years in senior underwriting if not.
• CPCU or ARM designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure profitable growth of the segment throughout the region in line with corporate strategy and underwriting excellence.
• Manage regional production underwriting process and collaborate with leadership on growth strategies.
• Oversee selection, analysis and pricing of commercial risks and terms for new and renewal business.
• Lead consultative selling to generate new business and address broker/client needs with service teams.
• Lead underwriting staff with coaching, development, accountability and succession planning; foster collaboration.
• Maintain relationships with distribution partners.
• Oversee region's participation in account management and service alignment.
• Partner with Specialty Markets Underwriting and TPA in the Midwest.
• Administer the team budget and optimize resource use.
• Participate in corporate and industry events; uphold Code of Conduct and Ethics.
