Job summary

Pie Insurance is seeking a Senior Underwriter to drive underwriting output and help the team meet daily goals. You will act as a go-to expert, represent underwriting in cross‑functional collaborations, and support leadership with critical decisions.

The role is remote within the United States, with expectations to manage partner relationships and provide coaching across the department. CPCU/ARM license preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of property and casualty commercial underwriting preferred.
• Advanced underwriting knowledge including pricing, risk selection and agency relations/management.
• Ability to manage partner relationships and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting output to meet or exceed daily goals and deliver quality decisions.
• Respond to coding information questions and support workflow for leadership.
• Assist and approve referrals when leadership is unavailable.
• Conduct deeper reviews to identify opportunities for loss prevention improvements.
• Collaborate with other teams to explain underwriting roles and interdepartmental processes.
