Job summary

Pie Insurance Group seeks a Director, Actuary to lead the Corporate Actuarial functions across workers’ compensation and other P&C lines. You will manage a growing team of actuaries responsible for reserving, pricing, ratemaking, analytics, and data systems integration.

Key responsibilities include developing loss trends, delivering insights to senior management, and advancing enterprise risk management with predictive models. Remote work within the United States is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 10+ years of progressive insurance Actuarial experience required.
• Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society.
• Experienced leader with 6+ years of people leadership.
• Experience with Snowflake, SQL, Python and other programming languages is a plus.
• Master communicator with executive presence and ability to communicate across organizational levels.
• AI-native, comfortable accelerating analysis and productivity with AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Corporate Actuarial functions for workers’ compensation and other P&C lines.
• Oversee actuarial analyses in reserving, pricing, ratemaking, analytics, and systems integration.
• Provide regular status updates to senior leadership and mitigation strategies.
• Develop and document actuarial department processes.
