Job summary

Pie Insurance is seeking an Underwriting Associate to join our data-driven risk management team. You will review and analyze new submissions, process quotes, and handle endorsements while coordinating with Underwriters and Agency Partners.

A high school degree is required, with a bachelor’s preferred, and experience in commercial lines is advantageous. We offer a remote role within the United States, with competitive cash compensation and strong PTO, retirement match, and caregiver leave.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with commercial lines preferred or relevant work experience.
• Ability to produce quality work while managing a high-volume workload.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to context switch in a multi-state book.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate accurately with internal teams and external partners.
• Experience verifying businesses using web-based research tools (OSHA, SAFER) is preferred.
• Knowledge of Salesforce, Excel, Google Suite and other systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze new business submissions and revisions.
• Process bind reviews and endorsements with accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate with Underwriters and Agency Partners to resolve questions.
• Support quote revisions and ad hoc projects across Underwriting and UA teams.
• Maintain knowledge of WC and Commercial Auto lines, forms, coverages, and manuals.
