Job summary

Pie Insurance is seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster to independently manage workers’ compensation claims end-to-end while delivering an industry-leading claims experience. You will work with partners to identify mitigation opportunities and secure favorable outcomes.

The role requires at least 5 years of workers’ compensation experience, active state licensing, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Location is remote within the United States.

Qualifications

• Strong communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to handle complex claims.
• Ability to mentor junior adjusters and guide team members.
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle all aspects of workers’ compensation claims from set-up to closure.
• Evaluate and manage high dollar, high exposure, complex claims.
• Conduct timely investigation with evolving facts.
• Set and adjust reserves within authority and best practices.
• Present claims to senior management and stakeholders.
• Administer statutory medical and indemnity benefits.
• Control legal activity with defense counsel and manage costs.
• Prioritize early resolution opportunities and negotiate settlements.
