CVS Health, encompassing Meritain Health, seeks an underwriting professional for a fully remote role within the United States. You will support pricing, quotes, and stop loss strategies across a diversified book of business, collaborating with Sales and Client Management teams.

Responsibilities include producing financial projections, negotiating terms, and presenting to customers and partners. Experience in medical insurance and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of medical insurance experience (brokers, carriers, TPA, underwriting, etc.).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and data interpretation.
• Able to collaborate effectively with sales, client mgmt, and internal partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on pricing and stop loss strategies to Sales and Client Management teams.
• Prepare quotations, financial deliverables, and proposals for prospects and existing business.
• Develop financial projections using Excel and Salesforce.
• Market and place stop loss policies, negotiate terms based on data and costs.
• Collaborate with leaders to understand impacts of custom requests.
• Assist in fee development and financial analysis for operational data.
• Present to internal/external customers and partners.
• Communicate Meritain product/services clearly to stakeholders.
• Contribute to proposals that optimize overall cost of care for plans.
• Explain rates/fees and underwriting policies to sales and clients.
