The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Underwriting Specialist with high hazard product liability experience to join its Specialty General Liability team in a flexible work environment.

The role is hybrid or fully remote, with occasional travel to key specialty locations; candidates from across the country are encouraged to apply. You will identify, underwrite, and sell new and renewal accounts, manage a portfolio, and collaborate with agency partners to grow profitable business

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 5-7+ years Underwriting experience.
• 5-7+ years’ experience driving agency relationships resulting in profitable new and renewal business.
• Proficient in identifying, analyzing and solving problems and prioritizing multiple concurrent projects.
• Adapt quickly to change and influence others.
• Mentor for less experienced underwriters; training others.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Judgement and decision-making ability.

Aufgaben

• Identify, solicit, underwrite, and sell new and renewal accounts to drive profitable growth.
• Apply underwriting concepts and use tools to ensure guidelines are followed.
• Provide accurate rating instructions for quotes and proposals.
• Manage a portfolio to meet gross written premium and profitability goals.
• Collaborate with agency relationships to grow business and address market needs.
• Communicate Hanover’s appetite and product knowledge at the point of sale.
