Job summary

Alliant Insurance Services is seeking an experienced Underwriter to review, underwrite, and rate broker submissions for new and renewal business. You will ensure completeness of submissions, obtain additional information as needed, and coordinate with Retail Producers and Account Managers to quote and define coverage and commissions.

Responsibilities include managing renewal specifications, collaborating with markets, and participating in committees to improve profitability and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; eight or more years of related underwriting experience preferred.
• Valid Insurance License required; must meet license renewal requirements.
• Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for supervisory duties.

Responsibilities

• Review and underwrite new and renewal business according to guidelines to meet profitability goals.
• Manage renewal specifications and coordinate market distribution.
• Lead and mentor underwriters and support staff; ensure accuracy of submissions and binders.
