Job summary

Alliant Insurance Services is seeking an underwriting assistant to support the review, underwriting, and rating of broker submissions for new and renewal business. You will ensure submissions are complete, obtain information from Brokers and Account Managers, and work with underwriters and markets to quote, price, and coverages.

The role requires 3+ years in insurance, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three (3) or more years related work experience; experience in insurance industry.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Review policies and programs to identify errors and ensure alignment with applications and quotes.
• Assist underwriting risks and suggest rates and premiums.
• Coordinate policy delivery with related documents.
• Assist in underwriting new and renewal business.
• Communicate with markets for documentation.
• Participate in meetings with brokers and underwriters.
• Prepare Renewal Specifications as required.
• Support Account Managers and resolve client coverage questions.
• Maintain submission files and client suspense.
• Enter data and maintain integrity in the agency system.
