Job summary

Alliant Insurance Services is seeking a Renewal Underwriter to review, underwrite and rate renewal business. You will work with Retail Producers and Account Managers to obtain information, market to carriers for quotes, negotiate pricing and determine commissions.

The role requires a strong understanding of insurance products, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple renewal files with accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six (6) or more years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of insurance industry.
• Valid Insurance License.
• Must continue to meet requirements for license renewal.
• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites a renewal book of business in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
• Collaborates with brokers/agents to negotiate renewal terms and maintain relationships.
• Analyzes policies and endorsements for errors or discrepancies to ensure alignment with application, quote, proposal, and binder.
• Issues policies and endorsements; binds coverage and coordinates binders/evidences.
• Maintains renewal spreadsheet and prepares policy delivery documents.
• Serves as a technical expert, supporting Account Managers to resolve complex issues.
• Maintains client files for renewal submissions and follow-ups as needed.
